Institutes:

The Institute of Economics teaches subjects primarily in the base programme, normally by means of lectures, but also in skills development seminars.

The main subjects taught are Economics, (Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, International Economics) Marketing, Finance (general and corporate), Law and Management. The institute consists of subject-oriented teams, which are the basic elements of educational and curriculum development.

Functional elective subjects offered by the institute intend to elaborate on the basic programme. The Institute of Economics manages and teaches Finance Specialization.

The institute actively participates in distance education programmes, teaching virtually all subjects to a wide audience. Several of our staff members work in the English language study programmes.

The Institute of Economics plays a major role in the provision of post-graduate courses. The institute manages the 3-year, second degree Economics programme in four faculties. For a number of years they have successfully offered and operated the Business and Marketing post-graduate course for economics.

New initiatives include the European Studies post-graduate course. The scientific work of the institute focuses on two core areas: research work related to course material development and the preparation of market- and business-related studies and consultancy projects for companies.
